FriendTalk - Happy Graduation Class of 2012!

Yes, it is that time of the year.  The time of the year you realize that you should have started working out sooner.  The time of the year when birds wake you up way too early.  The time of the year where traffic is more plentiful than normal and gas prices are higher.  

Summer is a comin' y'all!

With summer a comin' plenty of other things has a came as well.  o_O I'm just making up words now.

One of those things is graduation!  Yes, special graduate shoutout to:

Maya Mulvilhill - University of Hawaii at Manoa

Michelle Morales - University of Hawaii at Manoa

Jerica Catoera - University of California - Irvine

and 

Hosanna Policarpio - Art Institute of Tampa

While, I wasn't able to attend all the graduations! Primarily due to airfare costs, I hope you guys got your graduation cards! =D

To the class of 2012.  Times are a lot different, find your happiness, pursue your dreams, and go away (lol meaning travel somewhere)!

I was lucky enough to graduate one - and somewhat contemplating if I should have attended my own graduation (meh.)

Officially a College Graduate - Now What!?

Yup, as of December 17, 2011, I am a college graduate.  Though apparently, it takes the system up to 12 weeks to verify that all things are in order before retroactively proving a piece of paper that validates me as a more functional member of society. (yey!)

 

 To be honest, I never thought this day would come.  College really wasn't for me when I was younger, I had no desire to mingle with kids my age that just talked about things I really could care less about.  Weird thing is, I knew I was going to be successful even without a degree, but I do know that it is important to my dad, and hey... it was the proper time for me!  Graduating at the age of 31 is actually great (for me anyways), I have a great repertoire with my instructors, always the first to volunteer, not shy to provide my opinion - not to mention a bit more eloquent than my other colleagues.

Well, this is just the first step for me and I can't wait to move forward a pursue a graduate degree in Anthropology.

Wow... It's official.  I've passed all of my classes this semester and with flying colors.  

Actually, flying with colors for quite some time - since Fall 2009.

Looking back at my stint at UH-Manoa, I've had an awesome opportunity to be with great instructors.  I actually remember all of them... Hmm.. Let me see... 

Fall 2009: Norton, Roussev, Conred, Thompson and Glenn. Spring 2010: Arno, Yano, Wood and Krattiger.  

Fall 2010: Beaule, Blake, Yeh and Ferguson.  

Spring 2011: Bae, Pietrusewsky, Beaule, Hasager and Lid. 

Summer 2011: Cunningham and Petersen.  

Fall 2011: Bayman, Arno, Saethre, Brunson and Saethre...  

Special thanks to all of the teachers who have help mold this mind (which really isn't easy to do!)
