Las Vegas in 24 hours... pictalk

I wasn't planning to go anywhere in LA with the exception of the surrounding area to see friends and family, but next thing you know, she's picking me up and #roadtrip off to Las Vegas.  

With all of the stops, the trip was roughly 5 hours... Thanks to Taco Bell for keeping us hydrated - those Taco Supremes are so good. LOL

This trip was way too short, I could have spent easily another day gambling. After arriving to the hotel, a quick walk around, a little gambling - it was already dinner time - yup, off to +Gordon Ramsay's Burgr in Las Vegas.  Which I was very happy to see +Alberto Garcia join in on the fun with us.  

Surprisingly, the menu there was affordable.  By affordable, I mean a cheapest burger was $12 and the most expensive was $20.  If you've been to another of Ramsay's restaurants you know a meal can cost upwards of $60-$100 per person.  The jalopeno poppers were great - but if you're not use to spicy food - stay away from them! They weren't too spicy, but the combination of that and the cheese did a number on my stomach.  

After an awesome dinner with great company, it was time for a little gambling and then a massage.  I love getting foot massages while I am in Las Vegas/So Cal.  They cost around $20-$30 and its a whole hour treatment!  Super awesome.

After that, we pretty much went to the hotel room and passed out.  The next day, I woke up early to meet one of my friends from Hawaii, Daisy - who is now living in Las Vegas - yey!  It was great to talk story and catch up.. .it's been ages!  

That was pretty much it, a drive home, which involved Uber because of my parents. LOL they're crazier than I am - I swear!

Las Vegas Perks...

I love Las Vegas, it is one of my favorite cities of the world.

Win or Lose - I always have a great time.

The cool thing about coming back to Vegas is all the perks.

Free hotels.
Free food.
Free tickets.
Free limousine.

Of course, the more you play and gamble - the more you get.
I normally never have to wait in line... check in lines, restaurants, taxis, etc...

 While I get some perks.. imagine what the top players get...

TravelTalk - Las Vegas - 2013 - Bally's and The Strip!

 Aloha everyone!

 

Here is my lengthy blog regarding Las Vegas...

 

There is only 2 blog post - partly because it was insanely HOT in Las Vegas and walking out and about wasn't really a feasible option.

I've included 4 videos, one of my hotel room at Bally's Las Vegas which is really awesome and affordable - there are many more hotels with better amenities and what not, but the price is right for me!  haha, not to mention, look at the size of this Standard room.

 

 

OH YEAH!  Here is the famous Las Vegas sign!  I guess this should really be the 1st video!

 

 

Basically instead of walking around and shooting videos - my friend Beto and I drove down the strip, well he did the driving and I did the talking and recording.

I really love going to Las Vegas and it is really fun!  Everything that you could want is in Las Vegas.  Shopping, shows, concerts, gambling, drinking, museums, etc.  Over the top representation of cities, New York and Paris.  There is even Pyramids, roller coasters (in the hotel)!

 

Well, never mind about the lengthy blog post... More pictures and videos than anything. Hahaha.

TravelTalk - Gordon Ramsay - Steak at Paris Las Vegas

It has been quite some time since I have visited a fine dining establishment and it is quite fitting that my last night in Las Vegas culminated at such a place - Steak at Paris Las Vegas.

 

Funny thing is I didn't even have steak.  I was somewhat full from earlier, so I just ordered 2 drinks (Strawberry Martini - SUPER GOOD), 2 desserts (Sticky toffee pudding and Apple Tart), an appetizer (Roasted bone marrow) and finally an expresso.

 

I absolutely love the desserts.

 

After watching Chef Ramsay in Masterchef, I knew I had to have the sticky toffee pudding and it was so worth it, it gave me goosebumbs.  The sticky toffee pudding was sweeter of the two desserts, the cake was surprisingly super moist.  I actually finished the apple tart dessert first,  the pastry was divine and the apples were tart with a perfect consistency (I like mines with a bit of crunch still).

 

Well, this was an experience which was completely worth it.

 

Perhaps next time, I'll have some steak as well.  =]
