ribbit

this weekend was quite an adventure.

i don’t normally like to include recent events in this particular section in my blog, but hey why not?

this past friday, dietrix and i went to chinatown in search of “exotic” animals.  yes, for one of our classes, to get extra credit, you must submit bones, and of course the more dramatic, the better.

needless to say, mission accomplished.  not only did we buy a frog, but also a bag of chicken legs and tilapia.

the coolest part of it was when they prepared the frog.

i am not going to share the details in case you have a weak stomach. lol

ha, maybe i’ll share a picture of the frog bones next time!

excuses excuses

yup... many excuses...

actually, i’ve just been lazy, haven’t been busy, watching too much hulu and iTunes seasons.

well, its small kine complicated. on my macbook air, i have basically no storage, compared to my 1.5TB iMac, needless to say all of my photos are on my iMac.

so trying to blog while I am away poses a bit of a problem.

this will be solved soon.  selling both my iMac and macbook air...

going to buy a macbook pro, which I will retrofit with a 1TB HD.

then i’ll have access to all of my photos and will make it a wee bit easier to post blogs.

cafe latte and cappuccino

Day 1
yes, morning coffee in roma.

the best way to start the day.

i’m the cafe latte and marc is the cappuccino.  yes, i know, i’m not suppose to drink milk, but :P
based on the coffees, i can reconstruct my trip of roma.

the first one was right before the vatican on our first day there.  you know, (yes, i know i need to post pics of roma - im working on it :P)

Day 2

i use to love starbucks and my soy vanilla latte, but after drinking coffee from roma, it sort of makes you realize what real products are without the corporate monicker (there is no starbucks in italy - GASP!)
Day 3

you get your coffee in less than 2 minutes, you are served straight away by the friendly barista.

i guess i could use some coffee.  so sorry for the short post this week.  i’m still recovering from illness.

what’s your favorite coffee?  :D

La cuisine Français

ha! another food blog, oui!  this one is quite special.

this is my 2nd time to france, and this is my first homemade meal in france. it was so yummy, everything was bought fresh today and its all organic.

and yes the wine is fantabolous too! its from côtes du rhône.

today was pretty much recovery. i slept a lot, woke up, took the dog for a walk (another first in a foreign country), and picked up dog poop (another 1st) - i’m racking up many firsts today!

oh, i visited the boulangerie this morning and had croissants, oh so yummy!

ok, tomorrow, i will be more adventurous and check out the open market!

bonne nuit, mon amis!

look into my eyes

this is one of those moments where you think to yourself, lucky you live hawaii.

well, i do and yes, i’m lucky. lol this particular day was a perfect day for me and two my favorite gal pals to head to the a beach.  not just any beach, our own little private beach.

yup, after a long drive, a mini hike, we were greeted with pristine, calm waters.  along with the warm sun and great company this turned to be such an awesome day.

this particular beach outing, we took underwater videos, practiced out yoga, got lots of sun, and yes even a turtle sighting.

for this particular picture, i chose to edit the colors so the focus is on what i am seeing, the soft sand, the clear waters and the blue sky.

when was the last time you went to a beautiful beach?
