When shit hits the fan...

My life is pretty simple and I like to keep it that way...

But when shit hits the fan... the fan must be on high speed because it just goes everywhere!

Yes, besides having to pack and move by the end of the month and everything else that goes along with that... I managed to lock myself out of my apartment, work without Wi-Fi in the house, deal with money issues (regarding accounts and what not).

What I do realize is when I am under stress, if you don't know how to deal with me you should just get out of my way.

When I am stressed, I am very direct and I don't do well with stupid comments.

Like I locked myself out of my apartment yesterday...
I don't have a car here, so I obviously left my keys inside...
Looking back on it, I could have just said yes, I did, but nope, when I'm stressed (bitchy) comments like this just don't slide like they normally do.

Well, I will be out of my apartment by Thursday and with everything that I have to do this week hopefully by next week I'll be back to normal.

xoxoxo

Before I Die...

I'm not necessarily sure why I felt the need to write this blog at this instant moment, since I'm suppose to be reading or doing something productive in relation to school, but I was inspired after going through my old website and findings this article...

Wired published this article on an artist candy chang, where she posted a huge chalkboard that states, “before i die, i want to...________” (CLICK HERE) and people in the community would write the things they wanted to do.

Funny thing is I made a similar list a while ago and I'm surprised how many of them I've accomplished...

I...
> learned how to swim
> learned how to ride a bike and even participated in a race!
> visited 6 continents (1 more to go!)
> am grateful to have the opportunity to do the things I've done.

I would re-write my list... but I'll be actually doing some cool things in the next 2-3 months...
> I'll be going hang gliding
> I'm taking a kite surfing lesson
> Getting my 4th tattoo

My big fear is deep water... so in the near future... I want to get my scuba certification and dive...  I want to take a month off and baby sit my nephew and my niece... I want to go on across the country bike ride and raise $$$ for a non-profit... I want to have everyone that I love at a big dinner party - where we can all eat and laugh...

I guess, I'm writing this blog to inspire YOU... it doesn't have to be something crazy adventurous, but plan something you've always wanted to do - Write it on a post-it & plan to do it in the next year.  No matter how small or big, or crazy.

Yes - what do you want to do... not your husband or your wife, or your kids, or your friends...

What do you want to do before you die?

Freeze Frame...

I was inspired by a recent tweet in my inbox, that triggered philosophical banter in my head.

I've never actually quoted a tweet before, so if you want to know who its from, just leave a comment below.

Freeze frame: If this is all that life had to offer, is it enough for U?

I interpret this question in 2 ways.

My first interpretation was, "If you're not satisfied with your life, what would you do to change it?"
and the second is if you were to die tomorrow, "Did you live your life?"

I've made many life changing choices in the past few years to better position myself to do the things I like to do as well as have the free time to enjoy life.  I've only taken positions within companies that allow me the opportunity to take time off to travel.  I've been very very blessed.  If I were to die tomorrow, I don't have any regrets, I've been super fortunate to have done more in my life than I ever thought possible.

So... If this is all that life had to offer, is it enough for U?

Go do something awesome!  Come and join me, when I get back to Hawaii I have Kite surfing lessons as well as paragliding lessons!'

Special shout to my sister!  Happy Birthday!

Aloha...

Hey Blogger world.

Long time no talk.

Weird thing is I haven't been really busy with anything just occupied with random things here and there.  School is now over and I can't believe I had a repeat of last semester, I worked very hard and just pleased that my hard work has been rewarded.

Now that school is over, its just getting back into shape, enjoying summer and doing things I haven't been able to do with school in session.

I am working again with my personal trainer, she's great, we are working out 1-2 times a week.  I have signed up for Bikram again, so I'll be going to class 2-3 times a week.  I was suppose to run this week, but decided to take a week off, which I shouldn't have because I leave for Alaska in 3 weeks (yikes), I guess I'll be running on the daily... o_O

I've been filling most of my time with my iPad, currently playing words with friends (with friends...), We Farm and Castle Craft.  On my Xbox 360, I decided to get the Blockbuster gaming pass for the summer and I am currently playing Final Fantasy XIII, L4D2, Dragon Age Origins: Awakening, Magic the Gathering (2nd expansion pack).

Besides that nothing much really, I decided to give away or sell most of my stuff, I have A LOT of stuff.  I need to clean my car (its been ages), and I can't wait to head out and surf...

3 months until I'm back to the daily grind with school.  Hopefully, this time around, I can get some scholarships!

PS. Call me or text me... I have unlimited mobile minutes and SMS now that I am with Boost Mobile.

When You're Feeling Down

WHEN YOU'RE FEELING DOWN...

When you're feeling down, its easy to keep moving in a downward spiral. When you realize you don't have a lot of money, credit cards are piling up. You tell yourself, it'll be alright. When you're stocks lose a lot of its value and you wish you could eat out with your friends. You tell yourself, it'll be alright. When your car won't start and the check engine light goes on, you think to yourself, it'll be alright. I can ride my bike and try to put a grin on your face that I need the exercise. When you ride your bike and you have a flat tire, you tell yourself, I have an extra tube, I can change the tire. Two day later you ride your bike to school, it'll be a alright you say. A mile later you get a flat tire. You don't have an extra tube. On your way home, you fight the tears. Strangers wizz by in their cars and strangers walk by you. You look down as you walk, thinking if a cigarette is in order to help ease the pain. You realize, it won't. As you're crossing the street to head to your house, you hear a horn, a stranger in a pickup truck asks you if you want to throw your bike in the back and hitch a ride. You smile back and point, I live right there. You realize that it will be alright, it will be tough but people will always be there to help.

1 Week later.

1 WEEK LATER

What a difference a week makes!

Last week, I would just worry about making it to training on Saturday morning then off to swim class and hanging out with Travis.

This weekend, the same, but I had to plan my meals and cook for the week, do tons of reading for school and barely had time for my DVR.

Busy, but good busy, I like staying ahead of the game and I'm glad I have the time and resources to do so.

ha! 6 A's here I come! (maybe 5 A's and a B).

Mortality

MORTALITY
Yesterday, Tyler Reseigh passed away from a very aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was 27. We weren't the closest of friends, more like acquaintances, but I can't help to think about my own mortality especially since I am a year older than him and fighting my own battle. I am struggling to fight the tears as I change my fund raising website from "In Honor of" to "In Memory of". When is it going to be my time to leave? Like Tyler, I am not bitter about our own struggles. For me, I have always chosen to live my life according to my own rules, like my tattoo says "ima wo ikiru-live in the moment". I guess what I am trying to say is don't let life pass you by. If you want to learn how to swim, do it. If you want to learn another language, do it. If you want to travel the world, do it. No one is stopping you except yourself and your own expectations.

My prayers are with Tyler's family through this very difficult time for them.

Rest in Peace, Tyler Reseigh.

2008 - So good so far!

Photobucket

I wanted to post a picture on my blog that sort of sums up what 2008 has meant to me so far. Well, it hasn't been a perfect year, the mortgage industry is in turmoil, the weather has been on the weird side, things are just happening that are unexpected, but you know what, that's alright. This picture symbolizes my life coming together My good friend gave me a magnet and it states, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself", and now I see it all falling into place. I've had to be the way that I am to discover who I am, to expel all the negativity in my life. I have my health. I am paying off debt. I am truly blessed to be able to travel and do the things that I love to do in life and most of all I can count my true friends in more than 1 hand.

So if you're reading this, get your 4 closest friends, and make a star.

Cherish Life.
