Food Food Food - Hawaii Style (How I gained 15 pounds)

Many of my students ask me about what I eat in Hawaii - and I tell them, a mixture of all Asian food.  Fusion of this and that, a modern take on something traditional.  Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, American, Local and Hawaiian influence the many things I eat here, yes European influence too - Italian particularly.

My crazy friends... #awesomesauce

My plane leaves in less than 4 hours and it's quite crazy that I'll be on the road again.  This is dedicated to my crazy friends.  No matter how long I'm gone, no matter how long I visit, no matter how long I stay... 

Warning Facebook Rant: This is probably why I hate Facebook - it creates a false sense of friendship.  I'm sure people have seen FB posts and obviously I'm wherever I am... If you're not making the effort to hang out - why bother?! Yes, I take part blame, but then again I don't change my number wherever I am in the world so I've always been a text, email SMS, tweet, Google message away.

TravelTalk - California Rock & Roll Sushi - Ward - Honolulu, Hawaii

I seriously have been eating out way too much, but eating out here in Hawaii (probably like most places around the world) a very social experience... It's not just eating, its also hanging out with friends, chatting, talking story, and being able to share an experience.

I wasn't sure where I was going to eat last night, I was running errands - last to do list and called up +Sonnie Kerr and +Michelle Morales and next thing you know we're meeting up at Ross and the only thing I could think of that was nearby and good was California Rock and Roll Sushi...

Needless to say it was epic good.  Miso butterfish - OMG. Chicken Karaage - SUPER ONO.

Spicy Edamame - perfectly spicy and salty.  Oyster shooters (pass) lol.  Firecracker (sushi) hells to the yeah.

Thanks for hanging out and if you're in Oahu - you have to try this place, not traditional, more modern, not super cheap, affordable and great place to eat.  Probably really busy Friday nights and weekends!
